Mayan 2012 Prophecy and Why You Should Take It Seriously

I invite you to open your hearts and minds to the amazing 2012 prophecy messages left by the Classic Mayan. These cosmic stargazers wrote graphic stories in stone on their buildings and stelae over 2000 years ago in Central America. The most profound was a December 21, 2012 prophecy of a rare cosmic alignment between our sun, earth and the galactic center of the Universe.

On the same day, the earth and our galaxy make a journey we haven't traveled in almost 26,000 years. These two synchronized events are predicted in the 2012 prophecies to drastically change our spiritual values and priorities. In fact, as you'll find out the changes have already begun and is reflected in what affects our daily lives.

So What is the significance of December 21, 2012 prophecy?

The Mayan 2012 prophecy predicts not only a major shift in our thinking and our values, but also our level of spiritual development. So how could they know this?

The Maya devoted their entire lives to watching the cosmos. They recreated in stone and through the strategic layout of their buildings, an event to take place two thousand years into the future on December 21, 2012. According to the Maya we are living in a time of darkness. But an era of light and great hope is predicted when our sun and galaxy crosses over the galactic equator on December 21st, in their 2012 prophecy.

The Maya were obsessed with tracking present, future and past events in the night sky. The Pre-Classic Maya noticed interesting phenomena from Izapa, a ceremonial center occupied about 1500 B.C. The background universe of the Milky Way was slowly changing. This change was in relation to our foreground galaxy with our own sun. It could be that this realization triggered massive research by the Pre-Classic Maya and spawned the discovery of the great change to take place December 21st, in their 2012 prophecy.

Scientists know this change as precession.

Scientists have proven both of these alignments will in fact Precession is caused by a gradual shift in the orientation of the Earth's axis of rotation. The earth doesn't spin straight up and down, but on an angle like a wobbling top.

This wobble traces out a conical shape in a cycle that takes approximately...26,000 years to complete. The peak of the last ice age was the beginning of this cycle. As surprising as it may seem, the Classic Maya knew about these overlapping cycles. The Maya Long Count Calendar was based on them. This Grand Cycle ends on...December 21st, according to the Maya's 2012 prophecy.

Our galaxy is about to cross over the galactic center of the Milky Way. The Maya 2012 prophecy knew these cross-overs to be a time of great change spiritually. It's during this crossing the December solstice sun aligns with the cosmic womb of creation, the great bulge in the Milky Way near the dark rift. This alignment opens an opportunity for Earth's rebirth to a higher level of consciousness in the 2012 prophecy.

The Classic Maya were considered primitive by our standards. They didn't even have a wheel. But many Mayan scholars feel the Classic Maya were in many ways more advanced in their understanding of the cosmos and mathematics then we are today. This highly developed mathematics was used to create the Mayan Long Count calendar with the mysterious end date of December 21st in their 2012 prophecy. But this wasn't the only calendar produced. Mayan shaman-kings, with the aid of hallucinogens were able to make spiritual journeys back to the beginning of time and out into the future. They traveled to the birthplace of creation, the great bulge in the Milky Way that's visible with your naked eye. Their messages are written in stone.

The Maya were in touch with the oneness of all things. Quantum Physics a newer science has verified this oneness. Everything, including us is made of energy right down to the smallest molecule. This energy is the same for all things in the universe.

The Maya spent their lives tracking and recording the universe. They believed that what happened above happened below. In other words the cosmos and events on earth mirrored each other. Past, present and future events could be predicted or verified by tracking precession changes in the universe and the alignments of our sun with other parts of the universe. Even the bible says, "As above, so below."

These same beliefs are shared by the Greeks, Egyptians, Chinese, and most ancient cultures. The coming Age of Aquarius is a good example of how cultures thousands of miles apart thought the same.

So why would the Maya care about an event over 2,000 years into the future?

Some Mayan scholars feel the Classic Maya were spiritual avatars. To the ancient Maya everything went in a circle including history. Death and rebirth spiraled to higher and higher levels of consciousness till perfection was attained. So you may say they were looking out for the best interests of the universe and mankind.

They believed that the earth itself was what would rise in consciousness. Everything on the earth is just part of the earth body and it's process. They came to Central America from the universe. Their mission was to prepare the earth for this amazing world-altering event in their 2012 prophecy. You many not have expected this answer. But, I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Jose Arguelles author of the Mayan Factor has this to say: "Indeed taken as a whole, the Baktun 9 Classic Maya centers appear as a veritable cosmic calling card. "Oh, you of the Earth," the monuments seem to sing out to us, "those who built us have been here, appearing as humans, like you, oh Earthlings. Can you not see, can you not understand what it is that we have left for you? Could you but open your eyes without attachment, you would see and know the gift that awaits you."

So how will this phenomenal event unfold in the few years before the 2012 prophecy date?

The CLEANSING the Maya predicted is what we are experiencing right now on a global as well as a personal level. Change can be a painful process, especially when you fight it. But, it doesn't have to be.

The process of change has already begun. We are in the 20 year period before the 2012 prophecy date, when the transition unfolds bringing massive changes to the earth. We have the internet to thank for connecting the people of the world. The internet is not a lucky find or here by accident. Everything happens for a reason.

So what does this quote by Arguelles mean? We think it's WE humans who have created this massive technological boom in the last hundred or so years. It appears it's all part of the universal plan to raise the consciousness of the earth through increased communication. This rise in exposure to each other pushes us towards oneness, and the values of the next world age as the Maya predicted.

This makes us all "human." People from other countries now have a face, name and family like ours. We are connecting with these people and SHARING our cultures and lives. This is a sure sign of the beginning of "brotherhood" the Maya predicted

The sexes have been connecting with each other on a more equal level for over fifty years. This connection is based on shared values and the equivalent contribution each makes to the whole. And, I'm not talking about physical sex or procreation.
